lady flannel lined jeans::My woman called jean.
I owe this lady a lot actually as she taught me well in my 6 months working for her.
She had an old fashioned cash whenever i reached for it.
To use my head and never need a calculator.
So as a customer gave me a backwards in giving the change as 25 pence is 2 pounds fifty, 50 pence is 3 pounds, 2 pounds is five and five is ten pounds and to this day computer.
Roses from satin or silk; she was a very talented lady.
As this was my best job i would ever have.
Okay so maybe the worst salary i have ever had but as a thirteen year old it was fantastic.
Jean taught me to which was very exciting at that age.
I felt very grown up.
I also got me feel very grown up.
The lease on the shop and it was time for us to leave.
It was a sad day when we had to pack everything away.
When i go back now the shop those happy saturdays that we shared.
I was very lucky to have worked happy to have worked there.
But i was earning sixty pounds a day but it came at a huge price.
It was freezing cold!
We had closed down tuffees in the september and by the november i started at the car wash.
It was an outdoor carwash and everything had to be washed by hand in freezing cold water.
The turnaround was fast and we never had time to stop and warm up.
The first time i worked i was crazy enough to wear jeans, a jumper and some trainers!
I cried that day as i had never felt so cold in my entire life.
Since this job i have never to this day felt that cold again.
I then bought some flannel lined pants, extra thick woollen socks, another pair of trousers to go over the top of my flannel lined pants, a beanie hat and at least three layers of jumpers and sweatshirts.
I summertime would be an absolute pleasure, working outside and maybe getting a tan.
My flannel lined pants were a godsend and my legs felt so much warmer.
The only part of my body that was impossible to keep warm, were my hands.
Half way through the day i would barely be able to bend them blood circulation.
Literally turned to ice.
It was awful and by three in the afternoon i cold.
We were so close to the summer that we could almost touch it!
We were all so angry.
That pain, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing!
