One thing that did help a little was when we had a professional come in and he injected the carpet and pad with this huge syringe of desmeller.
It helped a bit.
The problem is the kitty probably is continuing to go in there somewhere.
This also makes the urine smell worse because it is concentrated.
Cats with try to pee where someone will notice, i think, because they are in pain.
Sure enough, he had a horrible infection.
